Qual parte da prancha está em maior contato com a água? Se você respondeu o fundo, acertou. E foi pensando nisso, que desenvolvi o SISTEMA PHAZER.

O objetivo era eliminar o atrito causado pelo contato do fundo da prancha com a água que diminui a velocidade. E, foi assim, que tudo começou...

Em 1993, no Rio de Janeiro lancei o SISTEMA PHAZER e seu conceito 3D SPEED.

Inicialmente produzida em caráter experimental ganhou uma edição limitada e assinatura BY KUNG CUSTOM BOARDS.

Dois anos após seu lançamento, 1995, entre dúvidas e incertezas sobre seu funcionamento despertava críticas, elogios e “dropava” no mercado americano e nas revistas especializadas:

- “Ainda na fase de testes que o Kung fazia... foi a de que ali estava uma invenção pouco funcional... enganei-me. As formações ovais no fundo da prancha, realmente dão uma velocidade extra...” (Revista FLUIR-INFLUIR, ANO 13, Nº124, Pg.12, 1995);

- “The Phazer also features an exclusive dimple-hull in a Vortex pattern...!” (Revista BODYBOARDING, Pg.57, Summer, 1995).

Em 1997, com design aprimorado ganhou destaque e reconhecimento internacional como inovação da década na Revista japonesa FLIPPER.

Mais tarde, o incontestável título de Campeão Brasileiro por antecipação, em 99, do então desconhecido baiano BERNARDO PUERTAS consagrou de vez a PHAZER e o conceito 3D SPEED.

O século XXI chegara, e junto à nova versão do SISTEMA PHAZER – o PHAZER SUPER CHANNEL.

Portugal, na cidade de Nazaré, onde é realizado o campeonato de ondas grandes, foi o primeiro país do continente europeu a receber a nova versão do SISTEMA PHAZER. Consagrado, o sistema batizou o modelo que hoje integra a linha, com o mesmo nome.

Em 2006 foi a vez das mulheres se destacarem com o revolucionário PHAZER KUNG DESIGN.

As conquistas das atletas GABY GOUVEA e XANDINHA EREIRO usando seus foguetes PHAZER FULL GRIP e PHAZER BAT CHANNEL respectivamente, deram os títulos femininos do ano.

E pra fechar com chave-de-ouro, a atleta profissional JÉSSICA BECKER, em sua primeira temporada havaiana venceu a etapa do Circuito Mundial na ilha de Maui usando a versão KUNG CUSTOM do SISTEMA PHAZER SUPER CHANNEL.

Em 2007 a prova final, no Havaí, onde o atleta pro BETO ABRANTES provou a eficiência e funcionalidade dos foguetes PHAZER CHANNEL. Passeando nos cilindros gigantes do Mundial em Pipe, chamou a atenção do mundo com sua performance e sua prancha.

Além de Jéssica que participou da versão feminina do Pipe Contest com igual destaque.

No ano seguinte a dobradinha da equipe PRO da Kung Bodyboard, além de estender sua temporada havaiana de testes por seis meses teve seu ponto alto com a performance arrasadora de BETO ABRANTES tirando um 10 unânime no Mundial de Pipeline.

Isso sem contar com os vôos nas geladas ondas de Arica, no Chile que lhe renderam a capa de uma revista brasileira.

Fechamos o ano de 2008 com Jéssica Becker sagrando-se vice-campeã mundial.

Aqui o futuro já chegou e tem gente com saudade dele. E você? Ta esperando o que?

Ask yourself, which part of the board is constantly in contact with the water? If your answer was the bottom, you got it. And it was thinking on that, that I designed the PHAZER SYSTEM.

The main goal was to eliminate the drag caused by the contact of board’s bottom with the water that diminishes the speed. And, that how it started...

Back in 1993, Rio de Janeiro I launched the PHAZER SYSTEM and its concept the 3D SPEED.

At first I produced the boards in an experimental way as a limited edition and with a signature BY KUNG CUSTOM BOARDS.

Two years later, 1995, between doubts and if it was functional or not the concept aroused criticisms, applauses and dropped at the American market and at the most prestigious int’l publications of that time:

- “Even though while Kung was in test phases... I had the feeling that over that board was a non-functional invention... I was wrong. The oval/concave design at bottom’s board does really gives an extra speed...” (FLUIR Mag.-INFLUIR, Year 13, Nº124, Pg.12, 1995);

- “The Phazer also features an exclusive dimple-hull in a Vortex pattern...!” (BODYBOARDING Mag., Pg.57, Summer, 1995).

In 1997, with its design refined it was reckoned internationally as innovation of the decade by the Japanese magazine FLIPPER.

Later, the Brazilian Champ Title by anticipation, in 99, of the undergrounded hot rider BERNARDO PUERTAS recognized the PHAZER and its concept the 3D SPEED.

The XXI century has arrived and I came with a new design to the PHAZER SYSTEM – PHAZER SUPER CHANNEL.

Portugal, at Nazaré city, where every year happens the big wave contest, was the first place in the European continent to receive the new version of the PHAZER SYSTEM. With its success, the system gave a name to one of the model that is the in PHAZE LINE nowadays.

In 2006 were the women to be recognized using the PHAZER KUNG DESIGN.

The rider’s titles of GABY GOUVEA and XANDINHA EREIRO using their rockets PHAZER FULL GRIP and PHAZER BAT CHANNEL were the highlights of that year in Brazil.

And to close the door with a golden key the KUNG pro team rider JÉSSICA BECKER, in her first season in Hawaii won the IBA contest at Maui using a version of a KUNG CUSTOM of the PHAZER SYSTEM - the SUPER CHANNEL.

In 2007 the final test, in Hawaii, where the pro rider BETO ABRANTES confirmed its speed and functional design with his rockets PHAZER CHANNEL. Speeding in and out of the giant cylinders at the Pipe World contest, he called the attention of the world’s best with his awesome performance and his board.

In the next year they did it again extending their time to do tests with their boards for six months giving BETO ABRANTES a unique 10 at the Pipeline Contest.

Flying back to the South American continent, to Arica in Chile BETO ABRANTES got a cover in a Brazilian mag by executing a huge 360 reverse..

To close 2008 JÉSSICA BECKER was honored as the second best in the world.
